Programme Description
HealthCare is one of the most rapidly evolving fields. Apart from the ever increasing demand, the healthcare industry is changing very quickly in terms of methods and quality of services. Both the public and private sectors are actively involved in this industry leading to the fast growth and hence the need for qualified managers.
Bachelor of HealthCare Management programme offered by Allianze University College of Medical Science (AUCMS) is specifically designed to equip students with good and strong business skills and healthcare knowledge in order to manage hospitals and other healthcare organizations
Course of Study
The Bachelor of HealthCare Management is a fulltime programme offered 4 year’s period. The programme focuses particularly on management and healthcare as practised in hospitals and medical centres. It trains students to make sure that their healthcare organization is medically, financially and operationally capable of serving the needs of patients. The skills taught include customer service, staff administration, service quality assurance, medical paperwork etc. Special attention will also be given to innovative methodologies to inculcate management techniques and strategies that would provide the means to overcome the challenges and competition expected in local and regional healthcare markets.
Participants embarking on this programme will go through an integrated learning experience that will broaden their leadership style and strategic management skills-sets, ultimately laying the foundations for strategic innovative thinking that is germane to creating competitive edge for the organizations they engaged.
AUCMS bachelor degree programme is a stepping stone for students to join the work industry as well as to further their academic achievement to do Master programme available at AUCMS.
Entry Requirements
Pass STPM/ Matriculation/ A-level/ Pre-University programme or its equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50 in the following subjects
5 credits or equivalent at the SPM level, 3 of which in the following subjects
- Biology
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- English; OR
– Related Diploma from recognised institutions with minimum CGPA of 2.75; OR
– Related Diploma from recognised institutions with CGPA below than 2.75 and minimum of 3 years (36 months) working experience in the same field;
