Mechanical Engineering is one of the earliest and wide-ranging disciplines in the field and this course enables you to apply the principles of physics and material science to design, produce and operate a variety of industrial equipment and systems.

 

The programme in KDU UC incorporates a holistic approach to learning so that you acquire the skills and knowledge required to excel in diverse engineering careers. Aside from your final-year project, you will complete four electives each semester or a total of eight electives in our well-equipped laboratories.

 

The course is designed to meet the demands of Malaysian and multi-national industries and provides a solid platform for adaptation to ever-changing knowledge in science and technology.

UEC Min. 5 credits
(English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & 1 more Science subject)
Diploma in related field Year 2 Direct Entry:
• KDU UC Diploma students with CGPA 2.0 or higher
• Diploma students from other institutions with CGPA 2.5 or higher
(students with CGPA less than 2.5, will be based on subject to subject evaluation for credit transfer)
Foundation / Matriculation in related field • KDU UC Foundation students with CGPA 2.0 or higher
• Foundation students from other institutions with min. CGPA 2.5 or higher
Any other qualifications deem equivalent
by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia
(or as stated in the Document Senarai Nilai
Taraf, Malaysian Qualifications Agency)		 Pass (Subject to review and approval of certified transcripts)

 

English Requirement

  • Local Student: Credit (SPM) / Pass (1119 / UEC / GCE O Level examination) / Min. score of Band 4 in MUET
  • International Student: Band 5.5 in IELTS; or a score of 213 (computer-based) or 79 (internet-based); or 550 (paper-based) in TOEFL

If English language requirements are not fulfilled, additional English module(s) may be taken at KDU UC.
