Not everyone is sure which engineering discipline they want to study or exactly where they want to be in the future. So we created an engineering degree that gives you more choice and flexibility than anywhere else. Studying at Monash Malaysia also opens the door to study abroad at one of our many partner universities worldwide.
During your undergraduate degree, you will receive training in emerging areas, such as renewable energies, nanomaterials, biodegradable structures, solid-state lighting, low-carbon product design and biomimic robots.
The Bachelor of Engineering has a common first year, giving you time to learn more about engineering and its fields before deciding which major to pursue in your second year. Twelve weeks of vacation employment is also undertaken during the program, allowing you to gain experience in securing employment, a taste for working in industry and a head start in your career.
At Monash Malaysia, we currently offer the following majors for this course:
Upon graduation, you will find career opportunities in biotechnology, building and construction, computer programming, food processing, manufacturing, mining, nanotechnology, power generation, robotics, sustainable technologies, telecommunications and transport.
The course takes four years of full-time study to complete.
The common first year lays a foundation in the basic sciences of mathematics, physics and chemistry and introduces the disciplines available to you for further study. You will learn to apply your developing maths and science knowledge to real-life problems and begin to understand the interaction between engineering and society.
Depending on academic performance and quotas, you can pursue a specific discipline from your second year of study.
Monash Malaysia campus students must undergo training in an industrial-based environment after their third year of study, as required by the Board of Engineers Malaysia’s Engineering Accreditation Council. After the 12-week training, students must submit a written report, detailing your work experience.
The Monash University Handbook has detailed information about the structure and requirements for the Bachelor of Engineering.
Graduates from the Bachelor of Engineering work in such areas as:
To enter Monash University, students must satisfy particular academic,English language and age requirements.
