Learning Outcomes
The development of Bachelor of Chinese Medicine (Hons)
Course curriculum is centered around the following nine learning outcomes:
- Demonstrate strong fundamental knowledge in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and clinical techniques / therapies;
- Apply knowledge of basic sciences, basic medical and clinical skills of western/ modern medicine in the practice of TCM;
- Apply the knowledge of integrated Traditional and Western Medicine to determine the appropriate investigations and diagnosis;
- Decide on the appropriate therapy / treatment for the patient’s clinical condition;
- Play roles as health professional in the community health care system and preventive medicine;
- Communicate effectively with patients, their family/ caregiver and the community at large;
- Adhere to ethical standards and code of practice relevant to the discipline, be aware of professional and social responsibilities and commitment to them;
- Undertake continuing self-development programme, and participate and contribute to research related to TCM;
- Engage in management and marketing of Chinese medicine and pharmacology
