Programme Description
Creative technology is all about combining modern theory with relevant practical skills. Through advance technique this program is designed to the critical thinking process, as well as visual literacy in evaluating and understanding images and their implementations. In addition to this, it equips students aesthetically, technically and professionally for a future in photography.
In other words, this program will develop your understanding of contemporary skills, methodologies and processes relevant to producing creative work across the disciplines of visual arts, contemporary editorial art and journalism, digital imaging, visual communication techniques and integrating areas that are particularly valuable to those considering a professional photographic career.
Learning Outcome
In this programme, graduate will be able to:
- Gained knowledge and critical understanding of the principles and aspects of photography.
- Develop creative and complex technical skills to be able to work at a high professional level.
- Enable to develop a wide range of skills including successful planning, effectively researched and reasoned thinking, problem solving, self-reflectivity, and transferable practical and professional abilities.
- Demonstrate effective self-managed learning whilst demonstrating a full broad range of competencies from technical skills and research/enquiry through independence of thought and critical analysis.
- Combined intellectual and technical knowledge that encourages questioning and advanced awareness of the complexities of contemporary photographic practice.
- Develop and expand a personal creative voice with pre visualization conceptualization skills.
- Achieved knowledge of interpretation the art of visual communication in reading and creating images that says a thousand words.
Entry Requirement
- Pass STPM/ A-Levels with 2 principal or a minimum CGPA of 2.0 OR
- Pass Foundation / Matriculation programme (recognized by Malaysian Government) in related field OR
- Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with an average of grade B in 5 subjects OR
- Diploma in related field OR
- Any other equivalent qualification recognized by Malaysian Government.
