This is a double discipline programme where equal weightage is placed between Computer Science and Statistics. In Computer Science, students learn the principles and skills for information systems design and development, including programming, database design and development, web design and development, and other related subjects. Students will learn programming languages such as C, XHTML, Java and VB.Net. Students are also trained in mathematical and statistical methods, which complement their knowledge and skills in computer science. The mathematics and statistics training prepares students for further work and research involving statistics.

Diploma graduates may find employment in a wide area of industries such as software houses, computer vendors, banking and finance, insurance and market research companies. Graduates may work as programmers, end-user support staff, analysts/programmers, IT administrators or executives, systems officers, database administrators, web designers, quality control officers, market research executives and other related jobs.
